In the USA the Food and Drug Administration states that Angels' Eyes/Glow does not change the physiology of the dog and as such it is not a medicine. Americans and nationals of many other countries around the world are still able to freely purchase Angels' Eyes without restriction.
In the UK DEFRA state that as Angels' Eyes contains a small amount of Tylosin it is a medicine and therefore subject to the same stringent rules as all other medicines. It is the existence of Tylosin and not the quantity that it is the issue.
Whilst we appreciate your frustration at not being able to buy Angel's Eyes/Glow which has successfully treated so many dogs around the world. We would like to remind you that DEFRA, as agents of the Crown, are merely upholding the law as it currently stands.
Please be assured that the clarification of the law in the UK does not change the fact that Angels' Eyes is completely safe and will have not harmed your dog in any way.
The same also applies to Angels' Glow (a similar product in direct competition with Angels' Eyes).

HOW DOES ANGEL DELIGHT WORK
Most dogs suffer from tears. It is more obvious with white dogs and not a sign of neglect. Tear stains are the result of bacteria bonding with the iron deposits in the tears to provide the building blocks for the enzymes responsible for the dreaded red yeast. Other products use antibiotics (such as tylosin) to kill the naturally occurring bacteria in the tears. These products are illegal in the UK and the EU.
Angels Delight does not contain any antibiotics. It is made with care and compassion using natural products. Angels Delight deals with the oxidisation element of the tear stain equation by oxidising the iron with in the body.
